Critic #1: Andre
Followed model, but maybe should left align text, headers and sub headers
maybe it would look better to have lines connecting the allies and support to the main flag I wouldn't add more space on the side, because maybe you won't have much room flags should be all the same dimensions
Andre suggested that I stay on track with my visual language model and typography, which included changes in the alignment of text on the headers and sub headers. I have yet to decide what to do with the smaller flags.

make the flags have consistent sizing, make some sort of context to compare
maybe make header and subheader bigger have the under lines longer under the header and left align them.
Fion suggested making the flags the same size as some were not aligned or sized properly and making the header and subheader lines bigger to accommodate the context below them

Like the titles and headers and emulating the style bit too much white space in between the flags maybe make it smaller or add something.
fix s.vietnam flag to have 3 red stripes
Cindy suggested emulating my header and subheader to be like my visual model as well because I leave a lot of white space between the content. I haven't yet found what I wanted to put in between the white spaces of the two big flags. I also updated the South Vietnamese flag, as the red, was meshed together to one big line.

This one looks better than the last version, fixing the text align. I like the leading lines because It follows your model. Maybe making the leading lines on top longer to reach the header. The lines on the bottom might want to not touch the flags like the model not touching the text. Also, maybe separating the lines, making them further away. The dot should also be slighter bigger to really emphasize where its at.
Andre suggested that the lines should not touch the flags, so I moved the lines off the flags, slightly below them. I also made the dots bigger like the model.

Critic #2: Jorge
"The flag is the main issue, it might be a problem that people don’t know what flag belongs to what country, so maybe having some sort of text would help. The flags itself might be a problem with the color model you are using, unless it fits with your visual language, then I think that it is good."
Jorge gave several suggestions for identifying flags as some people may not know which flag belongs to which country. So to continue following my model, I removed the support tab and kept the 3 flag model, and put text next to them to identify the country and how long they were involved.

Relationship Element & Critiques

Critic #3: Mano
"The flags look good, they really follow your visual model especially with the left align text. I think having text is good to follow your model, and maybe having it below the flag, or on the side like your model. But it also makes sense if you have just the three flags, so support might not have to be there, but the lines are great, they follow the lines like your visual, but the dots should also be bigger like your model."
I took Mano's advice on the 3 flag model and changed it to 3 flags and text next to it. I also made the dots bigger as indicated within the visual model.

This display shows the two factions involved during the Lao Civil War, fought between the Communist Pathet Lao (including North Vietnamese of Lao ancestry) and the Royal Lao Government, both backed by heavy supporters from the superpower countries that were involved in the Cold War.
How this element exploits the visual potential of relationships: The header on the top have two leading lines that separate the two factions that are at war with each other. The main countries involved are depicted by larger images, with supporters being smaller or a different color
How this element emulates the models:
To emulate my color model kept the same black to red color along with the flags being the same color as they should be, but focusing on red.
To emulate my visual language model created the main header like my visual model using a large red bar with white uppercase text inside, followed by subheaders to depict a lesser hierarchy using a red line with uppercase text above it.
To emulate my typography model I tried to use a similar typography as the original model by using Myriad Pro, keeping the color, size, boldness, and cap usage, mainly uppercase and semibold for the main header.
